Best tourism season so far

More than €900m tourism revenues have been collected in the first nine months of the year, stated Montenegrin minister of tourism and sustainable development, Pavle Radulovic, adding that this year’s tourism offer has been the best one so far.

“I’m glad to say this year’s organization of tourism season has been developing as we have expected. We have more tourists arriving to Montenegro compared to the same period last year, i.e. 892,550 tourist arrivals in the first ten months of the year, which is by 17% higher than in same period last year”, Radulovic told to Mina news agency.

He said the number of tourist overnights has increased by more than 10%, i.e. 3,75 million in total, covering the period from January to October 2017.

“As for the revenues, we have collected over €900m revenues in the first nine months of 2017, whereas Montenegrin Tax Administration has collected €14m tax revenues in peak summer season, compared to the same period last year”, Radulovic concluded.

Radulovic also mentioned planned new investments and projects, and his expectations regarding the increased interest of investors in the country’s northern cities.
